Reimagined: The Air Jordan 3 White Cement Makes a Comeback!
Following the release of the Air Jordan 1 Lost and Found in November, Jordan Brand is reintroducing a classic shoe with a unique twist - the Air Jordan 3 White Cement Reimagined.
The Air Jordan 3 is widely regarded as one of the most iconic sneakers in history. It's been noted numerous times that this particular shoe saved the Air Jordan line at Nike, and possibly even the entire company. Without Tinker Hatfield's exceptional design, Michael Jordan was prepared to leave. Fortunately, Tinker hit it out of the park with a design that was a slam dunk. Interestingly, this was the same colour way that MJ wore when he defeated Dominique Wilkins in the 1988 Slam Dunk Contest held in Chicago.
To celebrate the Air Jordan 3's 35th anniversary, the Air Jordan 3 White Cement Reimagined pays homage to the shoe's timeless design with a unique, aged aesthetic. Similar to the Air Jordan 1 Lost and Found, the shoe will feature an artificial yellowing effect on the midsole and back heel tab, while the back heel tab will also boast the classic Nike Air branding in black. The shoe will replicate the iconic elephant print from the original 1988 release, which included four colorways: Black/Cement, Fire Reds, White/True Blue, and of course, the White Cement.
